Bradley Stone for Soul and Jazz
I’ve long been a believer that progressive rock fans would also be interested in a lot of jazz. It works the other way around, too. The sensibilities of the genres overlap. The prolific jazz pianist and unique composer Yelena Eckemoff has produced an album in “Scenes from the Dark Ages” that should be appreciated by fans of jazz, jazz-rock fusion and instrumental progressive rock alike. With electric guitar, flute and violin alternating as lead instruments, and with Yelena’s ever-present colorations on various keyboards – this double CD is a tour de force in modern progressive instrumental music. Highly melodic and intricate – this music seamlessly integrates jazz, rock, classical and medieval folk music elements.
