An independent musician, Yelena Eckemoff has a Master's Degree in piano performing and pedagogy from the Moscow State Conservatory. Cold Sun,” (released in April) with Danish double-bassist Mads Vinding and legendary American drummer Peter Erskine. ("Cold Sun" was in Warren Allen's list "Best releases of 2010")

Grass Catching the Wind” (released in July) with the Danish team of Mads Vinding on double-bass and Morten Lund on drums.

“Flying Steps” (released in December) with renowned Polish-American bassist Darek Oleszkiewicz and Peter Erskine on drums.

The latest CD, "Forget-me-not," was recorded on August 17 & 18 of 2011 in Copenhagen, Denmark, with Yelena on piano, Norwegian double-bassist Mats Eilertsen and acclaimed Danish percussionist Marilyn Mazur on drums. It was released on February 20 of 2012 and was charting among the top 10 and top 40 on CMJ jazz radio worldwide for 10 weeks.

The upcoming CD, "Glass Song," was recorded on March 16 & 17 of 2012 in Los Angeles, California, with Yelena on piano, Norwegian double-bassist Arild Andersen and Peter Erskine on drums. It will be released on February 19 of 2013.
